The K's is an indie band from Earlestown, Merseyside with a line-up of singer/songwriter and guitarist Jamie Boyle, lead guitarist Ryan Breslin, bassist Dexter Baker and drummer Nathan Peers, who succeeded Jordan Hollerann and before him, Nathan Peers. Back in 2016, the burst of energy that was 'The K's' was let loose onto the world and, in 2017, they packed out a tiny bar in Manchester for their first-ever headlining set. At the time they had yet to release their first single, 'Sarajevo', but were already building a vivacious audience of fans, one pub party performance at a time. From the moment they released the chanty 'Sarajevo', fans responded and the track racked up 100,000 streams within its first two weeks. The summer of 2019 was setting up to be a memorable one for the lads. After successfully claiming a main stage set at the INmusic Festival in Croatia, the boys were not just settling for that. They signed a deal with Alan McGee's Creation23 record label; went on national television (Soccer AM) and were announced for lots of other festival dates. The band had followed 'Sarajevo' with a string of catchy singles, hoping to get the attention of record labels, but just as they were talking to some, in 2020, the pandemic hit and the offers dried up.
After refining their energetic rock and infusing it with acoustic pop elements, the K's finally landed a record deal with indie U.K. label the Lab in 2023. Looking ahead to the rest of 2024 they had some enormous shows lined up and, even before they released their debut, they had shows booked on the main stage at Reading & Leeds and also had a huge headline tour playing at venues such as Rock City in Nottingham, The Electric Ballroom in London and the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. It’s a testament to their meteoric rise over the years which has huge similarities to how the 'Arctic Monkeys' rose to fame in the early 2000s. They have also played major support slots for 'James' and Liam Gallagher, and have toured ceaselessly since their inception.Their first album, 'I Wonder If the World Knows', was released on the 24th of April 2024 which made 2024 a momentous year for the band. The LP debuted at Number 3 on the U.K. albums chart, going up against Beyoncé’s 'Cowboy Carter' and the Libertine’s 'All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade'. That same month, the band was named the 'Breakout Act of the Year' at the inaugural Northern Music Awards.
Their second studio album ‘Pretty On The Internet’, released on the 25th of June 2025, was produced by Jim Lowe, with the project coming together after Jamie Boyle brought 16 new songs to the group just months after the release of their debut LP. As the main songwriter of the group, Jamie is constantly jotting down notes whenever an idea strikes him. In between bar-hopping and checking out new bands, 'The K’s' signed to United Talent Agency to help them with booking in America. Jamie says, "We’ve got a full tour plan, so it’s like we’ve just dipped our toe in at the minute and we’re really excited to properly get into it."
