Wk: 16 That Was The Week That Was

Really! Are you sure?
A bad injury to Coutinho could hamper Liverpool's title dreams
Because without him they can become like so many other teams.
Man City weren't at their best, in fact Burnley took an early lead.
But with Aguero in your side you have every chance to succeed.
Chelsea rallied to beat Tottenham and go right back to the top.
Not a good week for Pochettino who now must pick his team up.
Another manager who must do the same is Everton's Ronald Koeman.
Another laboured display is now annoying even the most positive fan.
The 'Mickey Mouse' Cup saw Liverpool overcome Leeds in a test quite stern.
The highlight of the night was a Kop End goal by 17 year old Ben Woodburn.
Gareth Southgate was given the England job as everyone knew he would.
Why the need to act so quickly, maybe more games would have been good?
After all a win against an average Scotland side was the only success of note.
Certainly those four games didn't give fans or the FA any reason to gloat.
Never a week goes by without Jose Mourinho headlining the back page.
This time he received a one match ban for kicking a water bottle in rage.
Not to worry Man Utd progressed but Arsenal didn't make the semi-final draw,
Which left the prospect of a big game Final! Surely you couldn't ask for more!

It was also the week football wept for the Chapecoence tragedy. R.I.P.
