We (4) early that morning, the sky was ( 4 ) but we were very excited because our parents were taking ( 3 ) and my brother into town for some Christmas shopping. 'Are we nearly there yet?' we both kept asking as we were so ( 5 ) to get to town but it wasn't ( 4 ) before we were walking along ( 5 ) lined with shop windows full of Christmas gifts. '( 8 ) could you ask for?' Mum said to Dad.
'Good ( 5 ) Dad said as he saw a ( 6 ) who must have travelled across from ( 7 ) to do his shopping. 'Do you fancy joining us for lunch?' Dad asked him.
'I'd ( 4 ) to', he replied and we went into a nearby cafe. 'Can I have a ( 3 ) of Coke?' I asked, but Dad said he'd rather me ( 9 ) ( 5 ) that I was quite ( 5 ). ' But I have had Coke before. ' I argued, which resulted in a ( 6 ) from my father who was rather strict on such matters.
We had a ( 4 ) of the Menu and my sister and I ordered ( 4 ) size burgers as a treat.
We had a lovely day and Mum and Dad seemed pleased with how it went, especially Dad seeing his old friend from across the water.
