The Bully Always Gets his Comeuppance.

Flashman, in Tom Brown's Schooldays, torments Tom at Rugby school before he is finally found out with his cheating and drunkenness and expelled from school, proving that the bully only has the upperhand for a certain amount of time.

It was in February 2014 that former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson accused Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho of being a "bully" engaging in "boring" mind games, following Jose claiming that Arsene Wenger was ' a specialist in failure'.

The self appointed 'Special One' has spent a long time at the top of the pile, his swaggering style and 'Sky' high ego loved by many, especially the media who fed on his never ending supply of quotes. He bought and sold players at will but always risked scarring players with his unique man-management style as he is reported to have done at Real Madrid. In Jose Mourinho’s world – aggro, malice, nastiness, recriminations and victimisation more often than not end up with triumph. However the trouble with Jose is that he always wants to be the centre of attention and while success comes his way he can always argue that everything he does is right. Sometimes though the thing that makes him interesting can also be the thing that causes his downfall. Criticism of officials has in the past gone unpunished, commented on by the likes of Benitez and Wenger who have been prepared to stand up to him. His 'bench' have not been slow to their feet during games to remonstrate when things haven't been going there way during a game, as has his captain John Terry in the past.

However, things have changed this season.
John Terry has been dropped and Chelsea fans are unhappy with his exile, even beginning to turn on their manager in favour of the club captain.
His unsuccessful attempts to 'bully' Roberto Martinez to sell John Stones was distasteful and the sexist comment to Rafa Benitez' wife was followed by his hostile reaction to the club doctor Eva Carneiro for doing her job as requested to by the match official. Typical of the support offered to Eva was this from a Chelsea fan "José was 100 percent wrong, Chelsea fans love you, José is not a doctor , I'm okay with light banter from José but that was plain disrespectful. So sorry on his behalf."

If that was not enough Chelsea have had their worst start to a season for 37 years leading to the club taking the unusual step of reiterating their backing for their manager who is now facing an FA charge of misconduct. This was in a extraordinary, 'Alan Partridge like' monologue to Sky Sports after being questioned about his side's latest setback, a 3-1 home defeat in the Premier League by Southampton on Saturday. His demeanour was different and he was asking for 'fairness from officials'.

Now Fabio Capello is indicating that he has perhaps reached the end of the road with Chelsea.

'Mourinho is a great coach, but after a year-and-a-half, the players are burned. His men are mentally no longer able to give what he wants.
'The cycles of Mourinho last more or less this time.'
