What If...!

Manchester United may have to pay between £60-70 million to re-sign Paul Pogba, the highly rated Frenchman, who they let go to Juventus just 3 years ago for nothing.
The Man Utd 2011 FA Youth Cup winner will be the Juventus' engine in Saturday's Champions League final against Barcelona. There are no regrets from the 21-year-old Frenchman that his Old Trafford career was blown away effectively by a contract row with Sir Alex Ferguson and he quit Old Trafford after growing frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities under the Scot.
Paul Pogba should have been the player to continue Manchester United’s famed rich history of youth products making it big time with the Reds.
Andrea Pirlo has said: "If Paul carries on the way he is, he will become the greatest midfield player in Europe. At his age, 22, he could have that title for a long time.
"I don't understand why Manchester United let him go. If you look at their midfield now, they could really use a player like him.

Likewise Gianluigi Buffon, the Italian goalkeeper has compared his teammate with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo - and admits he is baffled by Sir Alex Ferguson’s treatment of the French midfielder.

In the same 2011 Youth team was Ravel Morrison, the hugely talented but troubled Mancunian who is now in Italy with Lazio. Both were largely admired by the senior players at Old Trafford, with Morrison looking the better prospect of the two, and nobody doubted they would both make a name in the game.

Rio Ferdinand knew it, Gary Neville knew it and Sir Alex Ferguson knew it. However, Ferguson couldn't keep him on the rails while in the red and white of Manchester United and he let him go to West Ham. Further trouble and unrest followed until finally he was to find a home in Rome. That sidestep, those outrageous skills and that turn of pace attracted the interest of Lazio.A move to Rome was agreed on a pre-contract and he is currently training with his new club.

Should he remain on the straight and narrow, like Pogba, it could be a case of 'What If ?'
