Pool Of Sound - James Organ

Born and raised in Liverpool, James Organ is a name that rose through the ranks rapidly, earning his place in the dance music scene as one of the finest DJ / Producers around. Playing to crammed festival tents with 6,000+ ravers has become the norm for this Liverpudlian, who since late 2016 has graced the likes of We Are FSTVL, The Warehouse Project and many more, in addition to becoming a Circus regular for Yousef. James has continued to build up an impressive catalogue of releases including on Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound, Get Physical, Last Night On Earth, Circus Recordings, Saved Records and more.

Rapidly rising from a burgeoning Liverpool underground club scene, he had a fantastic 2017 and this continued through 2018. Renowned for blistering DJ sets, he became synonymous for destroying festival and club sets across the country with his unique blend of house and tech-house. After grabbing the attention of the likes Sasha, Damian Lazarus, Franky Wah, Hot Since 82, Hernan Cattaneo, Camelphat and Joseph Capriati, James was soon snapped up by taste-maker labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Last Night On Earth, SHÈN, Get Physical, Knee Deep in Sound, Circus Recordings and more.

At Creamfields in 2023

A Traxsource Top 10 via Nervous Records on his track 'Kerri’s Day Off' returned rave reviews from fans and peers alike. Often highlighted as 'One To Watch', James has rapidly risen through the ranks becoming a staple of the British electronic music scene. As industry heads started to turn, so did Radio 1 as they quickly picked up James' tracks for major support with Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Sarah Story and Jaguar – all championing James as one to watch right now and with good reason.

Cementing himself as one of the finest house and techno producers and DJs around, 2019 became a breakthrough year for him, playing to huge crowds at Parklife, Wilderness, We Are FSTVl, Creamfields, Reading & Leeds, The Warehouse Project, and many more. He held down his residency at Liverpool’s famous club night Circus supporting and grabbing the attention of Hot Since 82, Loco Dice, Steve Lawler, Larry Heard / Mr. Fingers amongst others. In 2020 the latest installment in the Crosstown Rebels release schedule saw James make a standout debut on the label. Titled 'Secrets', the EP welcomes Spanish mainstay Dennis Cruz as remixer of the lead track.

James has built up an impressive catalog of releases for 2020 including Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound, Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Sasha’s label Last Night On Earth, and Steve Lawler’s VIVa & iVAV imprints, with more to come later in the year. As industry heads started to turn so did Radio 1 as they quickly picked up James' tracks for major support with Pete Tong, Danny Howard, and Jaguar – all championing James as the one to watch right now and with good reason. He continued to tour up and down the country and in 2024 was in also in Ibiza and Albania. At Creamfields in Daresbury in August 2025, he posted on his Facebook page, "Always such a good time at Creamfields 🔥. The full 2 hour mix is now on soundcloud and will hopefully help you to squeeze the last few weekends out of summer. Run it up, share / retweet etc and I’ll see you at the next one 🫡"
