Pool Of Sound - Project Nevada

'Project Nevada' is a five piece indie rock band from Merseyside, formed in February 2019, comprising of Tom Austin on vocals and rhythm guitar, Spencer Murphy on lead guitar, Will Elston on bass, Joe Robson on synth and Mikey G on drums. The lads met at high school and very quickly became friends, all showing an interest in music. Together they practiced their instruments and evolved together as a band, creating original pieces and putting their own spin on covers. which they are known for today. Although young they manage to deliver electricity and heaviness to the Liverpool indie scene. They have toured through the local venues in Liverpool to venues in Glasgow, with many more dates booked.

They have been seen playing in the centre of Liverpool near the abandoned Forever 21 store on the corner of Church Street/ Whitechapel.

They had a headliner show at the Zanzibar Club on the 15th of October 2021 and then headlined at the Baltic Social on the 30th of December. In July 2022 they announced on their Facebook page, "We are so pleased to announce our first headliner gig, on our home turf, at Future Yard." This is the brand-new live music venue and artist hub at 75 Argyle Street, shaping a new music future for Birkenhead.

The band is now known for its high energetic live shows that bring in the crowds. As they mark the map of Liverpool they plan to take over the world with their catchy live sets and EP's. As of 2022 the band has had 2 EP's, the first 'Lucky Me', released in May 2020 and the second one out in October 2022 was 'Alterations To My Age' which has been described as "Fun and full of character." It closes on the track '19/18', a ballad that takes on the quiet/loud approach with soft spoken vocals over the subtle electric guitar and light synths. All rounded up in the last two minutes of the song as the drums come crashing and the instruments play out. The sound is reminiscent of the likes of 'The 1975' and 'The Kooks'.

In June 2023 they announced on Facebook :-

"Major thank you to everyone who’s came down to the shows the past few months ❤ been an insane one
From Birmingham to glasgow it’s been a boss ride! Now just taking a lil break to do some writing, chilling and gearing up for the rest of the year!
We wont be playing for a little bit but when we come back, expect merch, mosh pits and keytars
With the upmost of love
- Team Project
See you soon with new music lovely’s!"
