Pool Of Sound - DROHNE

Music blog Getintothis reviewed the duo in December 2013. " For about a year now, Liverpool production duo 'Drohne' have exhibited an ear for ambient, sinister soundscapes.
You might have caught them at a number of shows around the city already, not that you would have known it, as Luke Mcculloch‘s and Richie Craddock‘s hood up, head down approach to stage presence finds them revelling in uncertainty. 'T.M.R (The Mother Road)' and 'Suppression', two early tracks available on their soundcloud are unsettling introductions, with anxious vocals swallowed by cloudy, saturated textures. These songs are almost wrenched in sorrow, displaying that kind technological dread that commands your attention whilst still leaving plenty to the imagination. Liverpool’s well of exciting producers and DJs is proving especially bottomless at the moment, as Drohne join the likes of 'GhostChant' as flag bearers for a city creeping closer towards Manchester as a genuine sign post for new UK electronic music. Drohne’s debut EP is expected sometime early 2014, as they continue to develop their sound through their live show. With support slots for the likes of 'Factory Floor' and 'Giraffage' nailed already this year though, you won’t have to wait very long to catch them yourself."

Parasite EP

The anxiety exhibited in their performances was found in 'Sample Pictures', the first track taken from debut EP ‘Parasite’, produced by Espher and through a label called O Genesis Recordings - it was titled 'Parasite' (drohne in German). Don’t expect to sleep easily after listening, it’s a moody affair filled with regret and an intense sadness. In 2015 they were featured by Peter Guy in the Liverpool Echo as he as put the spotlight on a rising new Liverpool dark ambient band. " Cloaked in dissonance and subversive mystique, Richard and Luke supported DFA industrial all-stars Factory Floor during their debut gig while bagging festival slots at Liverpool Sound City,  Liverpool Music Week and Festival No. 6. Best of all, they've been snapped up by Charlatans front man Tim Burgess for his independent label O Genesis Recordings. With new music in the offing, 2015 is looking bright for the young dark lords of drone."

In July 2016 on their Facebook page they posted, " Big thanks to BBC Radio Merseyside Dave Monks  for the radio premiere of our new track I.C.U featuring Nadine Carina ! 6 mins 32 seconds in. This was followed in September, " // Do not miss our BBC Introducing session and interview with Dave Monks and Steve Levine studio tonight at 8pm on BBC Radio Merseyside, we play a slightly different version of i.c.u featuring Nadine Carina and we also play a new track titled Dirt. WE EVEN GOT A DRUMMER xoxoxo

Then nothing!! These guys seem to have disappeared from the music scene.
