Pool Of Sound - BrassHaus

The 3-piece alternative indie-rock band 'BrassHaus' with Jack Robson on bass and vocals, Daniel Fagan lead vocals and guitar and Zachary Adam on drums formed in 2014 out of the ashes of  'Mojo Pin' and 'Freq.' and had their debut gig at District, supporting 'Vryll Society' and 'Sugarmen'.

At The Magnet

In October 2015, these comparative infants tentatively took to the stage at The Magnet, Liverpool. Del Pike reporting for Getintothis said of them, "This incredibly tight trio played a contrasting set to the one we saw recently on the LIMF Academy stage, still looking very much like 'The Jam' in their stance but attacking the songs with much more venom than in the park. There was a sense tonight that they felt a little out of their comfort zone alongside the Scouse veterans 'Rain', with their die-hard clan of fans, so they came across as trying incredibly hard to impress, which they achieved."

In August 2015 they had three gigs in a week, all of them free. On the Thursday they played Sound Food and Drink on Duke Street for Free Rock N Roll, and then on Saturday they were excited to be at Liverpool Loves Festival. Starting the day with a stripped down acoustic set at the pop up Sound Station stage at 12.30, they then performed on the main stage at 2pm with their full backline for a much louder set.
At The Epstein in December 2015, Del Pike again wrote "This young Liverpool three-piece have the punchy attitude of any of those 1979 post punk acts, but still need to find variation between tunes and better banter.  Much like their appearance supporting 'Rain' at The Magnet recently, they are often incredibly self-critical, the second the crowd fail to respond to their liking it is remarked upon. This is a shame as their output is certainly likeable, they just need to find the confidence to accept their current support slot status and realise that the crowd is not necessarily there just for them. Tracks like 'Go', with its menacing delivery offer a slightly less obvious approach to their other songs, and regular closer, 'Mr Kennedy', is clearly their killer tune as the spirit of Weller and Foxton runs through the guitar work and the drummer channels Keith Moon." 'Mr Kennedy' and 'Morning Like This' can be found on 'Soundcloud'.
The same month saw the band playing in District. Again Getintothis were there to review the event and Connor Ryan noted, "Award for best band name certainly goes to BrassHaus', playing some fast paced rock songs. Snot almost dripping to the floor from their youthful faces they tore through a blisteringly short set. Class."
