Week: 22 That Was The Week That Was

Blackpool 4 - 3 Bolton 1953 FA Cup Final

Well it was Cup week this week in what seemed like an International break.
The FA Cup has lost it's magic and that makes supporters hearts just ache.
Most of the Cup matches saw the top 6 clubs fielding under strength teams
Gone is the magic of 3rd Round Saturday, the excitement of Wembley dreams.
Maybe the chance to travel down to see your team play on the 'hallowed turf'
Doesn't mean that much any more as anyone but anyone now plays there.
The TV over exposure and money has ruined a once great national institution.
There doesn't appear to be a way of regaining it, there seems to be no solution!
There will always be another game waiting as an excuse for under performance
The poor supporter taking disappointed children to the game doesn't stand a chance.
If your team went out at this first hurdle, in the scheme of things does it really matter?
Surely it's only poor performance in the Premier League that only makes things flatter.
Everton made the first major move in the Window by signing Morgan Schneiderlin.
With two going out and two more in the pipeline it looks like Moshiri's backing Koeman.
Slaven Bilic was almost in tears announcing Dimitri Payet would likely soon be gone.
Committing himself to new 5 year deal is obviously not worth the paper it's written on.
Sadly we said goodbye to Graham Taylor a man obviously held by all in high esteem.
The scandalous treatment he received by the media was not warranted it would seem!
                 R.I.P.
