Wk: 17 That Was The Week That Was

Sturridge takes his position at Anfield this season

Vardy equalled a Premier League record, his team went to the top of the table.
Surely Steve McLaren's job is still safe at a club that is clearly unstable.

Chelsea managed to scrape a win against Norwich only by the one goal.
Man Utd hit an injury time winner against Watford but still look to be in a hole.

It looks so much better on Merseyside where Everton trounced Aston Villa
While Liverpool's demolition of City at the Etihad could prove to be a killer.

The Gunners stumbled at the Hawthorns where Cazorla skied over a pen.
Spurs overwhelmed the Hammers at home, it looked like boys against men.

Sunderland moved off the bottom as a 'Desperate Dann' gave them a winner.
Big Sam's face changed in that second from a grimace to being a grinner.

No joy either for the Manchester clubs in Europe, United were booed off the field.
Chelsea and Arsenal both had good nights, Jose and Costa's wounds were healed.

Spurs went through in the Europa with another goal from rejuvenated Harry Kane.
Liverpool qualified also without Sturridge who Klopp says needs to manage his pain.
