Sound of Silence

Only the thought that it could cost money
Has awakened the American bosses.
Standard Chartered, the shirt sponsors,
Have also considered Asian losses.
Dalglish and Suarez have been instructed
To issue statements of apology.
But why has it taken 120 days
In an attempt to remove this codology?
In taking the stance of the 'victims'
LFC have been left standing alone.
All impartial observers agree
Tired of Kenny's condescending tone.
Maybe he should have been more supported
By more knowledgeable men in these matters,
Rather than allowing this serious business
To leave everyone's reputation in tatters.
Following the decision of an independant commission
Someone should have taken this player aside,
Informed him of racist incidents to past LFC players
Who have worn their shirt with pride.
Maybe then he would not have misled them
Or his manager, still deep in denial.
But shook hands and played his football
Instead of now still being on trial.
