In the current economic climate, when everyone is looking at ways to save a few bob, there is perhaps one way the English FA could lead the way. Should the FA decide they could no longer afford the 'large' salary currently being paid to Fabio Capello and his expensive and often seemingly 'random' team selections - then maybe they should do what we all do... every week... pin down the ultimate 'fantasy team'.
By spending a few minutes today looking at two popular Fantasy Football sites and the Player Statistics, the results show the following possible first choice team, playing a 4-4-2 (of course!!!) formation and a back up team in case of injuries.

Hardly scientific, I know .... but look at money you would save. There would be enough left in the pot to possibly have David Beckham as our 'great leader' just to charm FIFA naturally.. and David Cameron to hand out the training bibs!
