Last week we backed our favourite 'home' bet as the bookies went way over on a Blackburn home win - the fact that Chelsea did not even manage the draw against Birmingham that we had them down for has a lot to do with the post and crossbar.
This week we will start by backing Stoke City when they take on Manchester City. Roberto Mancini's outfit are currently number one in our 'Power Rankings' but when playing Stoke at The Britannia form goes out of the window. As Liverpool found recently, Stoke will not allow a slow build-up to play out before their eyes. City will be pushed (maybe literally) off balance. Stoke home win @ 5/2
Fulham are not your classic relegation candidates. They have decent players, a decent manager and never appear to be victims of over-expectation. They have one major problem - they do not win enough football matches. This week they take on a Birmingham side that seem to have got back to the basics that made them such a success last term. Difficult to beat is an understatement for Big Eck's team and it would not be a great surprise if they nicked this one. However, after last week's capitulation against Manchester City Mark Hughes will have his team pumped up and this will be a battle. Take the draw @ 11/5
