'Zombina and The Skeletones' is a horror-themed Pop Punk band from Liverpool. They began in 1998 when when Zombina and songwriter Doc Horror met up as teenagers at Calderstones School, Allerton to create a band called 'The Deformed' and produced a demo tape 'No Sleep 'Til Transylvania' in early 1999. This tape featured songs that would later be featured on 'Zombina and The Skeletones' albums, 'The Grave... And Beyond!', 'Braindead' and 'Leave My Brain Alone'. Since the early years of their formation, the band established a strong B-Movie informed horror and science fiction theme recalling the early efforts of 'Misfits' and 'The Cramps'.
Legend has it that they changed their name at one of their first shows, coming up with their current moniker backstage as a reference to 'Josie and The Pussycats', allowing the audience to vote on the proposed change.

Their specific sound often blends pop elements from the 1950s and 1980s, giving them a following amongst fans of horror punk, gothic and psychobilly, among others.

Wrenching 100% pure rock n' roll genius from the very pits of their tortured, vampiric souls since 1998, as a live band they're the bloodiest and most funnest cult experience you can have, short of sacrificing yourself to some goat headed deity in the woods on St. Swithens Night. On record they're the 'Beatles of Horror', with 'hit' packed albums such as 'Taste the Blood of Zombina and the Skeletones', 'Halloween Hollwerin', 'Monsters On 45' and 'Death Valley High'. They have released several albums and numerous EP's and singles, with Zombina and Doc Horror being the only consistent members from a much changing line-up. Their current members are, Zombina Venus Hatchett on vocals and Theremin, Doc Horror on bass guitar and vocals, Ben Digo on drums, Kal K'Thulu on bass and X-Ray Speck on saxaphone.

They have gigged up and down the country with the likes of 'The Damned', 'The Misfits' and 'The Meteors'. Covered in blood and dressed to the eyeballs in rotten flesh, they are deeply independent, refusing offers from many major labels and have influenced a 'horror punk' movement in the Liverpool area but they remain the kings so far!

In 2003 the band set up the finest glam/punk/rock n' roll club the Mersey area has ever seen with 'Useless' happenings every other Tuesday at the Zanzibar Club in Liverpool for almost 3 years.
They were a featured unsigned band on Mark Radcliffe's BBC 2 radio show in 2005.
2006 saw the band headlining the Luminous Gothic Festival, Finland and the following year they played at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen, the very large goth/alternative festival in Leipzig, Germany. They have also played four times at the the British Whitby Gothic Weekend.
The band has received positive reviews from the UK music scene website 'Drowned in Sound' and their 2005 'Counting On Your Suicide' was selected by goth/punk journalist Mick Mercer as one of his "Thirty best goth records of all time".
